This is a do over of a recipe I have. I made it lower fat. I also added chocolate chips to this. This is better than the original and lower fat. Baking in the crockpot makes this bread so moist and delicious. If you have never made bread in the crockpot. Be sure to try it. We love this bread in my home. You won't miss the fat at all. It is very delicious!

How To Make low fat crockpot choco chip banana bread by nor

  • Step 1
Turn crockpot to high heat. Grease a loaf pan well with oil spray like Pam. Note: Loaf pan is for an oval crock pot. If you have a round pot. Use a round casserole dish or a small spring form pan.
  • Step 2
Mash bananas and set aside. In a large bowl. Place apple sauce, sugar, honey, and butter. Beat well.
  • Step 3
Beat in eggs. Add vanilla and stir.
  • Step 4
Mix in baking soda, salt, Wheat flour, and all purpose flour. Add chocolate chips and stir.
  • Step 5
Place mixture in greased loaf pan, or casserole dish. Crumple up some foil for bottom of crock pot. This will keep the pan from the hot bottom. Place loaf pan on top of foil. Cook for aprox. 2-3 hours. Check with tooth pock. There should be a few crumbs that attach but it won't be raw. Remove bread from pot.
  • Step 6
    Cool, slice and serve.
