Makes 1 loaf
Ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- ½ teaspoon nutmeg
- ½ teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup honey
- 1 cup boiling water
How To Make honey cake loaf

Step 1In a large bowl, mix the first nine ingredients together. Add honey and boiling water and stir together.

Step 2Pour the batter into a greased 9x5" loaf pan and bake in a preheated 350º oven for one hour.

Step 3Cool in pan for 10 minutes and then turn out of pan and cool on a wire rack.
