Every year when I was a little younger I use to make home made Malasadas for Phat Tuesday. It was a 2 day event. But as I got a little older & much more busier. I found a short cut to making them. This is a easy cheat way to enjoy a sweet doughy goodness of Phat Tuesday

Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

  • 1-2 can(s)
    refrigerated biscuits
  • 1 c
    sugar cinnamon mixture
  • 3 c
    vegetable oil

How to Make Cheating Phat Tuesdays Malasadas

Step-by-Step

  1. In a large pot heat the oil over medium heat. Pop Open each biscuit can. In a medium size bowl or plate mix the sugar cinnamon mix & set aside.
  2. Carefully drop each biscuit into the hot oil. Deep fry them until golden brown on each side. 3-6 minutes
  3. Remove from heat. Drain off extra oil on paper towel lined plate.
  4. While warm roll each one in the sugar cinnamon & eat.
