I wouldn’t eat avocados without prompting. So a family member came up with ways to hide it in food I would eat! This tweaked recipe is the end result of a recipe's revolution of a southern bread. It is all good now!

Ingredients
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup mashed avocado (one small avocado)
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/3 cup oil
- 2 cups ap flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup chopped pecans
How To Make southern avocado bread

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 ℉. Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan. Set aside.

Step 2In a medium bowl or food processor, mix egg, avocado, buttermilk, and oil until blended. Add flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Mix only until blended. Stir in pecans. Do NOT over mix!

Step 3Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 55 minutes to 1 hour or until done (toothpick test). Cool 10 minutes. Turn out of pan. Serve warm with butter. Can be frozen and reheated.
