My boyfriend has always liked and talked about this bread so I finally got around to making it.

Ingredients
- 1 cup unbleached flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon powdered milk
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup water
- - veg.oil 4 frying &flour 2 flour your hands
How To Make indian fry bread

Step 1Sift together the flour,salt,powdered milk,& baking powder into a lg. bowl.pour water over the flour mixture all at once & stir the dough w/a fork until it starts to form 1 big clump

Step 2Flour your hands well,using your hands begin to mix the dough,trying to get all the flour into the mixture to form a ball,mix well,but do not knead it.[kneading will make for heavy fry bread when cooked.should still be sticky after it is formed.while the outside will be well floured.cut the dough into 4 pieces using your floured hands,shape,stretch,pat,and form a disk of about 5 to 7 ins.

Step 3take the formed dough & gently place it i the ot oilpress down on the dough so that it is submurged under the oil. fry til browned,then flip over and fry other side,each side should take about 3 to 4 mins.,place the cooked bread onto paper towels to absorb excess grease.fry bread can be kept warm in 200 degree oven for upto 1hr..they refrigerate well and can be reheated in 350 degree oven for about 10 to 15 mins. before serving.
