This is a recipe from my Dad. He said it was the way his Dad made garlic bread for his restaurants.

Ingredients For the best garlic bread

2loaves french bread sliced 1/4-1/2 inch thick

8-10 cloveof pressed garlic

1 Tbspgarlic salt

1 1/2 stickreal butter

1 1/2 stickmargarine
How To Make the best garlic bread

1Soften the butter and margarine. Press the garlic cloves over the butter and margarine, sprinkle with garlic salt and mix well

2Let sit for several hours or overnight. Toast one side of the bread. When cooled enough to handle, spread the butter mixture on the untoasted side. Set under a broiler set at 375 and cook to desired crispness. Enjoy and let me know what you think. This mixture also tastes great on steaks.
