Ingredients
- CAST IRON SKILLET!
- 1 1/4 cups corn meal
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 - eggs
- 5 teaspoons butter
How To Make cast iron corn bread

Step 1Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl. Create well. In a cast iron skillet, melt butter. While butter slowly melts, mix wet ingredients. Pour wet into the dry ingredients and add melted butter. Slowly fold over the dry and wet ingredients, small lumps are ok. Then pour into the cast iron skillet and place into a 350° oven for 20-25 minutes. Stick a toothpick into the center to check for doneness.
