Ingredients
- 2/3 cup all purpose flour
- 3 packages cream of wheat apples and cinnamon instant hot cereal
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs, separated
- 1/2 cup shredded apple
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- - vegetable oil for frying
How To Make apple and cinnamon fritters

Step 1Mix together the first 5 ingredients in a large bowl; set aside. Beat egg yolks, milk and 1 Tablespoon of oil with a wire whisk until well blended. Add to flour mixture, stir until well blended. Stir in apples. Let stand for 10 miinutes. Heat 1 1/2 inches of oil in a heavy saucepan or electric skillet to 375^. Beat egg whites on high speed with electric mixer until stiff peaks form gently stir into batter. Drop by teaspoonfuls into hot oil; cook 3 to 5 minutes or until gloden brown. Drain on paper towels. Cool completelly. Dust fritters with powdered sugar or Maple syrup just before serving.
