My grandpa came from a Mennonite family, and my grandmother's family was Pennsylvania Dutch. This is a nice little recipe that I grew up on, and now as a grandmother, I make this for my family.

Ingredients

3 large
cucumbers
1 medium
onion
2 c
water
2 1/2 c
white vinegar
1 1/2 c
sugar
1 Tbsp
salt

How to Make Quick & Easy Refrigerator Pickles

Step-by-Step

  • 1Slice cucumbers and onions thinly and place in air tight container.
  • 2In separate bowl add water, vinegar, sugar, and salt. Stir until sugar and salt are dissolved.
  • 3Pour water mixture over cucumbers making sure that they are completely. Cover and refrigerate for 24 hours before serving.
