Ingredients

  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 package cream cheese, softened (8 oz)
  • 1 can mushroom pieces (4 oz)
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1 - egg, beatened
  • 1-2 tablespoon sesame seeds (no need to measure - just for sprinkling on top) optional

How To Make mushroom bites

  • Step 1
    Separate crescent roll dough into 8 rectangles; press perforations to seal.
  • Step 2
    Combine cream cheese, mushrooms and seasoned salt, mixing well.
  • Step 3
    Spread mushroom mixture in equal portions over each rectangle of dough.
  • Step 4
    Starting at long sides, roll up each rectangle jelly-roll fashion. Pinch seams to seal.
  • Step 5
    Slice logs into 1 inch pieces. Place seam side down on ungreased baking sheet.
  • Step 6
    Brush each log with beaten egg. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • Step 7
    Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes. YIELD: 4 dozen bites
