caliente marinated olives

A nice addition to the party vegie trays. Cook time is refrigeration time.

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces pimento stuffed olives, drained (2 3-oz jars)
  • 6 ounces almond stuffed olives, drained (2 3-oz jars)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons dried crushed red pepper (more or less, to taste)
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro

How To Make caliente marinated olives

  • Step 1
    Combine all ingredients except cilantro in a saucepan; bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Remove from heat; cool. Stir in chopped cilantro.
  • Step 3
    Cover and chill at least 8 hours or up to one week.
