Ingredients

  • 5 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 28 ounces tuna
  • 1 small onion, finely minced
  • 3 - tomatoes, finely diced
  • 1 small tin anchovies
  • - green olives, finely diced
  • - tabasco hot sauce, to taste
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 - mint leaves
  • 5 - basil leaves
  • - vinegar to taste
  • 1 tablespoon capers
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon tomato puree (more if needed)

How To Make maltese tuna spread

  • Step 1
    Place all ingredients in a food processor and pulse to desired consistency. If the color is too pale, add more tomato puree. If it is too runny, add some soft bread to absorb the moisture.
  • Step 2
    Serve with crackers or on toasted bread.
