I love anything seafood! These clam fritters will disappear at your next dinner party!

Ingredients

  • 1 can (11 oz.) minced clams, drained
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup green onions, sliced
  • 1/4-1/2 cup very finely diced red bell peppr
  • 2 - eggs, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 2/3 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • - canola oil for frying

How To Make crispy clam fritters

  • Step 1
    Combine clams, garlic, onion, eggs, butter, lemon juice, hot sauce, salt and pepper in a mixing bowl; mix well
  • Step 2
    Combine flour and baking powder; add to clam mixture and stir until moistened.
  • Step 3
    Heat fryer. Drop clam mixture into deep, hot oil by tablespoonfuls. Fry until light golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Serve immediately with tartar, cocktail, honey mustard, remoulade sauce or or my Zesty sauce (I have recipes most of these if you want to search them)
  • Step 4
    NOTE: The recipe in the photo is doubled to get that amount!!!
