poultry essentials: low carb chicken tenders
These are a really yummy way to cook a low-carb chicken tender that has plenty of great taste. They are easy to make, and work well in a variety of dishes. For example, you could cut them up and place them on a bed of greens, or you could serve them up as a snack with some honey-mustard dipping sauce. It’s up to you. I’m short on some images, because I made these up in a hurry, but never-the-less, they are awesome. So, you ready… Let’s get into the kitchen.

Ingredients
- PLAN/PURCHASE
- THE SEASONING
- 1 teaspoon salt, kosher variety
- 1 tablespoon hungarian paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 2 teaspoons white pepper, freshly ground
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- THE TENDERS
- 1 pound chicken tenders, or sliced chicken breasts
- 4 tablespoons sweet butter, unsalted

Step 1PREP/PREPARE

Step 2Gather your Ingredients (mise en place).

Step 3Mix all the ingredients for the seasoning together, and reserve.

Step 4Place a rack in the middle position, and preheat the oven to 400f (205c)

Step 5Melt the butter in a small saucepan.

Step 6Toss the chicken tenders in the butter.

Step 7Lay the tenders on a rack inside of a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Step 8Sprinkle both sides with the reserved seasoning.

Step 9Place into the preheated oven, and bake until nice and brown, about 15 – 20 minutes.

Step 10PLATE/PRESENT

Step 11Serve on a salad, or with your favorite dipping sauce. Enjoy.
