How to Make Sardine Cups

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF. Fit wonton wrappers into each hole of a greased mini muffin tin. Spray wontons lightly with cooking spray. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden and crispy. Remove from the heat, cool for 2 minutes and then remove from pan.
  2. Meanwhile, combine in a bowl sardines, cream cheese, mayo, red pepper and lemon juice; stir and mashed. Add chopped chives, hot sauce, freshly ground black pepper and salt; stir, taste and adjust if needed. Fill up the wonton wrappers (just the amount you need otherwise they’ll get soggy) with the sardine mixture and garnish with paprika, chives and a couple drops of hot sauce. Makes 24 cups
