A quick summertime appetizer. Serve with your favorite pico de gallo, if desired, or lime wedges.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil, extra virgin
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 large lime, juice of

How To Make grilled avocado

  • Step 1
    Prepare a grill for medium-heat cooking.
  • Step 2
    Cut each avocado in half. Carefully pull the halves apart and remove pit.
  • Step 3
    Brush cut side of each half with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Step 4
    Drizzle each half with lime juice.
  • Step 5
    Place each half, cut side down, on grill, close lid, and cook 90 seconds.
  • Step 6
    Open lid and rotate each half 90 degrees, close lid and cook another 90 seconds.
  • Step 7
    Remove from grill and serve. Top with pico de gallo, if desired.
