Got a Super Bowl party planned, and need something down & dirty to serve your guests? Well, look no further. These can be as homemade or store bought as you want, but trust me on this one… there will not be any left. So, you ready… Let’s get into the kitchen.

Ingredients

  • PLAN/PURCHASE
  • - pizza dough, store bought, or homemade
  • - pizza sauce, store bought, or homemade
  • - pepperoni, chopped
  • - mozzarella, cut into 1/2-inch (1.2cm) cubes
  • - parmesan cheese, for dusting after baking

How To Make mouth watering baked pizza poppers

  • Step 1
    PREP/PREPARE
  • Step 2
    Gather your ingredients.
  • Step 3
    Place a rack in the middle position, and preheat the oven to 375f (190c).
  • Step 4
    Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface.
  • Step 5
    Cut the dough into 2.5-inch (6cm) circles.
  • Step 6
    Add 1/2 teaspoon of pizza sauce to the center of each dough circle.
  • Step 7
    Add 1/2 teaspoon of chopped pepperoni.
  • Step 8
    Chef’s Note: You could use Italian sausage, ham, or whatever you wish.
  • Step 9
    Add a cube of cheese.
  • Step 10
    Fold up the edges, and pinch to seal at the top (like a beggar’s purse).
  • Step 11
    Chef’s Tip: Dip your finger in some water, and run it around the edges of the dough circle. This will help you seal it up.
  • Step 12
    Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Step 13
    Place in the preheated oven until nice and brown, about 20 to 25 minutes.

    PLATE/PRESENT
  • Step 15
    Serve on a large platter with some warm pizza sauce, for dipping. Enjoy.

    Chef’s Note: Sprinkle with some Parmesan and/or Italian herbs (optional).
