    (8-oz) wheel camembert cheese
  • 1 c
    white wine, dry
  • 1/2 c
    butter, softened
  • 1 c
    salted almonds, finely chopped

How to Make Camembert Almond Balls

Step-by-Step

  1. Soak cheese wheel in wine for at least eight hours or overnight, turning cheese occasionally. Drain wine and discard.
  2. Press cheese through coarse sieve or food mill; blend with softened butter. Chill cheese mixture until slightly firm.
  3. Shape into small balls about 3/4 inch in diameter; roll in almonds.
