spicy celery & lentil soup

For a healthy nutritiously lite soup try my celery n lentil soup. I serve it with crackers or garlic toast. When I have carrots I add them sliced thin. Remember to keep it spicy ladies! Smiles

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup lentils, dry
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 3/4 fluid pot of water or chicken broth.
  • 1 medium potato, & onion
  • SEASONINGS:
  • Dashes - chicken boullion, cayenne pepper, black pepper, thyme, oregano, paprika, cumin, garlic powder.
  • 1/2 cup milk or half n half

How To Make spicy celery & lentil soup

  • Step 1
    Fill stainless steel pot with 3/4 water heat on medium. Slice veggies placing in pot.
  • Step 2
    Heat to medium. Add Chicken broth and Cook for 25 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Sprinkle with seasonings Turn on low heat to simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Turn off heat splash with milk or cream then cover until seasonings permeate throughout the soup.
  • Step 5
    Serve topped with Parmesan Cheese & litely buttered Garlic Toast, crackers, or your choice of bread.
