For a healthy nutritiously lite soup try my celery n lentil soup. I serve it with crackers or garlic toast. When I have carrots I add them sliced thin. Remember to keep it spicy ladies! Smiles

lentils, dry
1 stalk(s)
3/4 fl
pot of water or chicken broth.
1 medium
potato, & onion


chicken boullion, cayenne pepper, black pepper, thyme, oregano, paprika, cumin, garlic powder.
1/2 c
milk or half n half

How to Make Spicy Celery & Lentil Soup


  • 1Fill stainless steel pot with 3/4 water heat on medium. Slice veggies placing in pot.
  • 2Heat to medium. Add Chicken broth and Cook for 25 minutes.
  • 3Sprinkle with seasonings Turn on low heat to simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  • 4Turn off heat splash with milk or cream then cover until seasonings permeate throughout the soup.
  • 5Serve topped with Parmesan Cheese & litely buttered Garlic Toast, crackers, or your choice of bread.
