A family recipe for the very best game day cocktail appetizer meatballs. Easy enough to double for larger, rowdy, hungry crowds... like mine on Packer game day! =)

MEATBALLS

lb. ground chuck

egg, beaten
1/2
cup dry breadcrumbs

small onion, minced

tsp. dried parsley flakes
1
tb. worcestershire sauce
1/2
tsp. salt
1/4
tsp. pepper
1/2
tsp. garlic powder

SAUCE

cups ketchup (a thick, slow pouring ketchup will produce a delicious sauce that will cling to meatballs. a thin ketchup will result in a thin sauce.)

cup firmly packed brown sugar
1
tb. worcestershire sauce

How to Make The Best Darn Game Day Meatballs

Step-by-Step

  • 1Meatballs: Combine all ingredients in a large ziplock bag. Mix until just well blended. Shape into 1" balls. Place on parchment lined, rimmed cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until cooked through.
  • 2For Sauce: Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan. Cook until hot and blended. Add meatballs; heat through. Serve hot with cocktail picks.
