Ingredients

  • TOASTED CHEESY GARLIC BREAD
  • 3 slices garlic sourdough bread
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • pinch cayenne pepper
  • DIPPING SAUCE
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, extra virgin
  • 1 small red onion
  • 1 small garlic clove
  • pinch ground black pepper
  • 4 ounces tomato sauce

How To Make toasted cheesy garlic sticks

  • Step 1
    Toast Garlic Sourdough Bread- place slices with sides touching top w/ shredded cheese
  • Step 2
    place under broiler until bubbly then remove
  • Step 3
    -sprinkle with cayenne pepper, then top with additional cheese broil then remove and set aside until cool
  • Step 4
    when cool enough to handle and cheese is set
  • Step 5
    turn over and cut lengths into approx. 1 inch wide sticks for dipping Eat while hot

    Instructions for Dipping Sauce:

    On low heat saute 1sm. red onion diced add garlic pieces diced brown in 1 tbls. extra virgin olive oil cook on medium heat until translucent
  • Step 8
    add 1/2 can tomato sauce sprinkle to taste oregano seasoning Stir until thickened to desired consistency
  • Step 9
    Keep hot until bread is toasted then place in small dipping bowl placed on platter Place cheese sticks onto platter Serve & Enjoy
