  • 3 slice
    garlic sourdough bread
  • 1/2 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • pinch
    cayenne pepper

  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil, extra virgin
  • 1 small
    red onion
  • 1 small
    garlic clove
  • pinch
    ground black pepper
  • 4 oz
    tomato sauce

How to Make Toasted Cheesy Garlic Sticks


  1. Toast Garlic Sourdough Bread- place slices with sides touching top w/ shredded cheese
  2. place under broiler until bubbly then remove
  3. -sprinkle with cayenne pepper, then top with additional cheese broil then remove and set aside until cool
  4. when cool enough to handle and cheese is set
  5. turn over and cut lengths into approx. 1 inch wide sticks for dipping
    Eat while hot
  6. Instructions for Dipping Sauce:
  7. On low heat saute

    1sm. red onion diced
    add garlic pieces diced
    brown in 1 tbls. extra virgin olive oil cook on medium heat until translucent
  8. add 1/2 can tomato sauce
    sprinkle to taste oregano seasoning
    Stir until thickened to desired consistency
  9. Keep hot until bread is toasted then place in small dipping bowl placed on platter

    Place cheese sticks onto platter
    Serve & Enjoy
