I had been looking at some shakes and drinks that called for Mango and Cardamom spice (some called a Mango Lassi). I had purchased this spice but didn't have the chance to use it yet. Its yummy. The only problem that I had was that these drinks were the consistency of.. well, water. I need this little thing to fill me up somehow for more than 10 minutes. So I added a few things here and there, had it this morning and was so happy with it.

How to Make Mango'ana Peach Cardamom Breakfast Smoothie

Step-by-Step

  1. Place mango, banana. peaches and yogurt into blender and pulse to start processing the frozen fruit. Pour milk, oatmeal and spices and the rest of the ingredients and blend until smooth adding ice one or two at a time. You can also serve over ice if you like your smoothies really cold.
  2. Note:
Cardamom is a slightly expensive spice. However it can be used in breads, desserts and other dishes as well, so it is worth the investment. I actually added 1/4 tsp of the spice in my drink because I love it. Start out at 1/8th. If you cannot find Cardamom or do not wish to purchase it, you can use the cinnamon/nutmeg suggested or ginger,
Freezing mango pieces creates better icee smoothies.
