OMG! You are too funny! You had me laughing out loud about taking Ambien and ordering from QVC and not remembering it until you got the confirmation email the next day. You are nutty in a good way. A real hoot you are. You always have Lady Rose in stitches too.
I like that....all three of us our roses and make a rose bouquet. I will have to tell Rose Mary that. Isn't she the neatest lady? I just got her cookbook in the mail today, and it's fabulous! If you don't have it you should get it. It's worth every penny, plus it has some wonderful information about her and her family. Some nice pictures, too in front of the cookbook. I could go on, but anyway it's a great buy.
I did read your comment about making the rice casserole just a few minutes ago, I will check out the pictures here in a bit.
Oh, boy...I can just imagine what your poor pooch must of looked like after giving him a haircut while on Ambien. LOL! Yes, I'm a glutton for punishment and would love to hear the story. I have a pretty good imagination, so right now my mind is going wild picturing what he looked like. Actually, my mind can be quite scary sometimes. If you could see some of my dreams, you'd probably wouldn't ever want to correspond with me again. I can't even make sense of them. LOL!
Good night to my nutty Texas friend...Yellow Rose. Sleep tight and without the rocks, okay? :o)
Genny-Rose of Idaho is perfect!! Yes Genny Rose as you are now renamed. I like it.... Now the three of us make a ROSE BOUQUET :)
Well, I DID make the Brocolli Rice Casserole tonite as a side for pork chops (hmmm, great minds think alike). I took stuff out of my pantry looking for cream of chicken soup and found the FF Onion Rings afterall. No cream of chicken soup so I used crm of mushroom instead. Still tasted good. Go to Lady Rose original recipe page and see my comment and the pictures I posted of my version - had to change it to match what I had in my pantry. I was craving broccoli rice casserole!
Yepper - great minds think alike. I have several of the Temp-tations and ordered from QVC also. Remind me I'll tell you a funny story about my shopping spree. HINT: ambien and home shopping networks is a dangerous combination.... dangerous, as in expensive! OK - you already guessed it. I took an ambien to help me sleep. Apparently I did some shopping and didn't even realize it until I got the confirmation email the next day of my order. Good thing my husband and I liked what I bought from QVC.
Wanna hear about my dogs haircut after I took an ambien? oh my oh my.... I believe that senator in WA DC was telling the truth when he said he had taken ambien and was on his way to vote in the middle of the night when the police stopped him.
Now I just ask for someone to rock me to sleep - even if they have to use real rocks. OK - enough comedy for one night. G'nite from your nutty Texas friend Yellow Rose :)
Thank you, Phyllis!...Or should I call you, Yellow Rose of Texas as Lady Rose calls you? Maybe I should call myself Genny Rose of Idaho? Nah, that doesn't cut it...ah, well, I tried. lol! Anyway, thank you for the compliment. Lady Rose's casserole dish is excellent. Is there anything that she makes that isn't? Anyway, you must make it sometime. I'm sure it will taste great with or without the french fried onions. You know what is funny is that when I made this casserole, I served it up with pork chops. It complimented it very well. And, "yes" the dish is Temp-tations. I ordered them from QVC. Yes, I admit it. lol!
Genny - your casserole looks so good - and I like your dish too! If I'm not mistaken it's temp-tations presentable ovenware - right? I have many pieces of the RED ovenware, but not this size dish. Wish I had the french fried onion rings - I'd make this tonite to go with pork chops - I might make it anyway w/o the onion ring topping. Thanks for sharing your picture.
