Wow Phyllis, you just really make me laugh. You keep me laughing. You are good for anyone that has the blues. They will not be BLUE FOR LONG IF THEY ARE AROUND YOU. I love that tumbled marble, I have only seen it on TV, never knew anyone that actually had some till I met you. YOU GO GIRL. I hope One day I get to cook and display some food on that penisula. Smile. Have a great day. Because you have really made mine. God Bless. Lady Rose
you're sweet - so I shoulda been a comedian, eh? My X-sisters think I AM a comedian now LOL - wait'll they see my performance in court... they'll WISH comedian! that's another story ugh.
Yes, I did say homemade ice cream - got Jer an old-fashioned maker; one with a crank (and electric if he doesn't want to play like an Amish man). He just made vanilla icecream - bought some Mexican Vanilla to try it out for a change.
My son & daughter in law bought food to grill & did all the cooking while the rest of us played volleyball in the pool -- can't beat that! (I felt guilty for a few minutes). Cheeseburgers & trimmings and grilled tilapia w/Lime - oh yum... homemade vanilla ice cream, your apple PIE AND MY apple crisp (yes, I made A.crisp TOO and that's probably why my pie was flat :(
I was asked the question - what's that green stuff on the pie - mold? Soooo I won't be using colored sugar again except on cookie and that's even a maybe now.
The 'table' is actually part of my kitchen Island (tumbled marble). The apple pie keeper also came from my friend who gave me all the apples AND peaches off her trees. She felt sorry for us because the deer ate our trees right after they were planted. I made the apple pie, 2 apple crunch, 2 peach crunch, and froze about 12 cups of peaches. Ah, just FYI, we didn't eat all the crunches - gave an apple & a peach to our bachelor friend and his visiting bachelor brother....... gone in one sitting they said. oink.

DID YOU SAY HOME MADE ICE CREAM? Yum Yum. I know that was sooo good to go with it. You did it up for Jerry's special day. Thanks again Phyllis. You are rocking in the kitchen.
Wow, Phyllis, Good thing I am here alone, because I laughed so loud, I probably woke the dead. YOU ARE HILARIOUS. THAT IS SO FUNNY. I LOVE YOUR PHOTO, HIGHLIGHTING MY COOKBOOK,& I also LOVE the apple Pie Dish, that is gorgeous. I love the green MOLD, I mean sprinkles smile. Your Pie s very professional. Do let me know how it turns out. I suppose we had the same idea on yesterday. When I gave Dan a choice between Apple Pie or Apple Crisp, he really threw me for a loop when he said CRISP, and to tope it all off, he wanted it to be SUGAR FREE, so that was his dessert, I also made CARROT CAKE CUPCAKES.
I am so proud of your Apple Pie Creation Yellow Rose, it really DOES LOOK DELICIOUS & professional. I will take the table that you have it displayed on. That is gorgeous. Girl you are a real winner in my book. I am sure your husband loved the pie even if you didn't have a tree to put inside to make it stand tall. YOU ARE JUST TOO FUNNY Phyllis. You really should have been a comedian. Thanks for your comments. God Bless you, and Thanks for displaying my cookbook with 795 recipes. You make me PROUD OF YOU IN SO MANY WAYS. Thanks again.
It's in the oven Lady Rose.... Rose Mary's Mile High Apple Pie .... made for Jerry for Father's Day. He'll be making some homemade vanilla ice cream to go with it... the grandchildren can take turns churning the ice cream maker. Wish I had an entire tree to put in my apple pie; mine looks a little puny compared to yours. But the taste tests comes later with the homemade ice cream. I can't wait. Thanks....... will share a picture of the baked pie soon. OH, the green sprinkles is colored sugar on top of the crust (not mold)... I didn't have your turbinado, so green sugar sprinkles it is. Notice YOUR cookbook with the unbaked pie........ smiles!
