Made the "glaze". Used 1/2 stick of butter in the 6oz dark choc chips...melted in the microwave because that's how I've always done it. Added 1 T heavy whipping cream. Then another T of it. Tried pouring it on the cake and ended up spreading it on.
Gave a few pieces of the cake away to a lady who came over to me and told me how good the cake was. This is what I brought home. Hubs and I will be eating cake for a few days. LOL. Maybe I should freeze some.
The directions say to bake for 50-55 minutes. Since my oven runs a little hot, I set my timer for 45 minutes. When I went back to the oven, it smelled burnt. The cake rose a bit above the bundt pan and there were some signs of burnt edges.
Spread the filling over the batter. Next time I think I'll spoon clumps of filling in the middle and not spread it out. Perhaps this is something that I did wrong. 10/24/13

I am so sorry. I thought if I told you everything that I did maybe we could figure it out. Oh well, we are eating the cake. It's just not as good as yours, that's all. You cake looks awesome compared to mine. And I know you are an awesome baker and cook...so It's probably just something I did.
