This Is A Pic Of How The Topping Should Be..as Per Carol's Original Instructions. The Topping Goes In The Bundt Pan First, Then 1/2 Of Cake Batter, Then Cranberry Filling, Then Other 1/2 Of The Cake Batter. Glaze Cake When It Is Out Of The Pan & Cool.

My Grandson Ate The Lemons I Had Saved To Make This Cake. I Had Oranges So I Changed The Lemon Cake Mix Into An Orange Cake With Adding Oj, Orange Zest And Orange Emulsion. I Also Made The Glaze With Oj & Orange Zest. It Turned Out Great.

I Really Like This Cake A Lot. I Did Mine In A Cheesecake Pan. I Love Lemon And Cranberries. I Thought I Had Cran-raisins , But Had Cherries Instead. Worked Out Great!!

Oh Deborah, that is too funny. At least that is an advantage to having small dogs (ours are 12 and 14 pd dogs). That makes me smile to think your dog Peter just had to have a nibble or two. haha...You know that when we cook and bake it is like heaven to their noses. I read somewhere that when something smells wonderful to us it is intensified by a much higher percentage to their noses. It is no wonder that they do whatever they can to get a bite.

At least you have your priorities straight and a sense of humor! Bummer though. Thanks for sharing the photo. Did you discuss the inappropriateness of this behavior with your dog? I had a chat with my dogs when the took off with the steaks that were on the table next to the BBQ. I calmly explained how disappointed I was with them. They looked so pathetic and guilty, I couldn't bear to yell at them and it wouldn't have brought the steaks back any way. Thanks for the laugh!
