This recipe for the Family Reunion Baked beans is so THICK AND RICH WITH A ROBUST FLAVOR, I know you will love them. My family is spoiled and only likes them if they have meat in them. My daughter who is 26 has never had them any other way. When she made some for her boyfriend using the lean Ground Beef, he remarked how good they were with the meat in them, her reply was that is the only way my mom ever made them, and he said he had never had them with meat before, she said I thought everyone made them WITH MEAT. They are loaded with flavor, from the liquid smoke, the rich thick molasses, and the thick Heinz catsup, and the brown sugar & tangy flavor of the prepared yellow mustard, they are just perfect for the upcoming Memorial Holiday, or any other day in between. Cooked low and slow, they get thick & rich.
