just remember if yours is non stick do not let it get hotter then med heat or it will let off those toxic fumes which is why I am in love with the green pans you can get them so hot it will brown anything with out sticking or the fume issue. watch for them to go on sale I don't know where I got mine but they say green+life on the bottom and looking close at them there is a bit ware around the rim but not in the pan and I use mine every single day for about a year now. I just wash them carefully with a sponge as nothing sticks and really you only need well for me anyway one big fry pan to do most of the heavy cooking.

Do the green ones last longer Dee??? I have not used this yet, well actually, I gave to my daughter as a gift... I wanted to use it sooooo bad, but when she moved on her own, I couldn't justify keeping it, when she needed something so bad.
They should do something to reline the interiors...thats a great idea!!!

I have been seriously considering buying the green fry pans..I am so tired of the surfaces always wearing out..but the outsides last forever. They need a company that resurfaces the interior with a green non stick surface..it would keep em out of the landfills. I have about 6 of them around here that I hate to toss..I always buy the HD ones so thats lots of good stainless steel to be throwing away.
