Thank you Alexandra!! I did not end up making this cake for my father-in-law's birthday b/c my step-daughter wanted to make the cake.... I cannot wait to make it though. Still on my list tacked to my idea board in the kitchen!

Ann-Marie, I love this recipe and I make it all the time. Friends and family just love it. I just follow the recipe for the glaze, I don't add anything else. Like the recipe said, the longer the glaze sits on the cake, the better it is ... it gets even more moist the next day or two (if it lasts that long!)

OMG - that looks SO good! I cannot wait to try it! When I saw the picture of it in the pan it looked good, but NOT as good as it looks in this pic! I'm going to make it for my Father-in-law's birthday! Does it need whipped cream on top or is the glaze sufficient? Thanks!
