My First Try At Your Pie, Leah. They Were Delicious And I Now Know Center Knife Clean Is The Key To Knowing If It Is Done. I Still Ended Up With Neither Pie Being As Thick As The Pics I See Here & One Was Just Really Thin. Maybe I Should 1.5x Recipe?

Butter Migrated To The Top, Had To Lower The The Oven, It Was Browning Too Quickly, Cooked It Longer.  I Used Paper Towels To Absorb The Butter Off The Top.  Not My Favorite Recipe But It Was Easy And Fun.

After One Hour The Pie Looks Done Except For A Pool Of Melted Butter In The Center Of The Pie. I Was Wondering About That; But When I Went Back Later To Check...the Melted Butter Had Seeped Back Into The Pie. 8/02/12

After 35 Minutes I Took It Out Of The Oven To Check The Edges. They Are Browned Nicely So I Decided To Cover Them For The Last Part Of The Baking Process. 8/02/12
