From the age of four on, you could find me in the kitchen with either a wire whisk or potato peeler in hand. My Great Grandmother said, "as long as I was watching, I had to make myself useful." Once she saw that I had taken an interest, she took the time to teach me many of her culinary tricks. Later on, my Grandmother and my Mother took my skills to the next level. To this day, I take great comfort in cooking from scratch (especially baking), and feel extremely blessed to have had such wonderful mentors in my life. There's nothing like sharing something you've made with your own hands!
