Greek Spaghetti

I am not Italian but I like Spaghetti. I came up with a Greek-style spaghetti, just an alternative for the traditional recipe. I love it, being a bit Greek.

Ingredients

1 lb
fresh ground lamb
1 1/2 tsp
oregano, dried
1 1/2 tsp
sea salt
2 tsp
minced garlic
1/4 tsp
black pepper
2 can(s)
diced tomatoes, 14.5 oz.
1 can(s)
tomato paste
10 large
kalamata (greek) olives whole
1/4 pkg
whole wheat spaghetti
1/2 c
crumbled feta cheese

Directions Step-By-Step

Brown ground lamb in large skillet, about 10 minutes.

Add spices, diced tomatoes and tomato paste. Boil for 15 minutes.

Simmer for 1 hour in skillet on low, covered.

Boil whole wheat pasta as package suggests. While the pasta is boiling, add Kalamata Olives to the meat sauce and heat for 10 minutes.

Drain Pasta. Serve meat sauce on top of pasta with 1-2 T. of feta cheese. Serve with Greek sesame bread and butter if desired.
