This is my own dish. I had a basic cream sauce recipe years ago. I made this my own. I added many different ingredients including the bacon. The bacon and apple combination gives it that sweet savory taste. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I do. Hugs!!
chop onion and saute in large nonstick fry pan with 2 Tbsp butter. add 2 tbsp apple juice or cider. Cook until slightly caramelized. add the garlic and cook for 1 more minute. Remove from heat. Put the onions aside on a plate
take the pan you cooked the onions in. Add 2 more tabla spoons of butter, and cook the chicken thighs. Salt and pepper them. flip over and salt and pepper again. Fry for about 15 or until no pink shows through. Remove from pan to plate.
put the sliced apples and cooked onions in the fry pan.cook over medium heat a 5 minutes.Add apple juice,or cider, and crushed bouillon cubes and stir all together.
Put the chicken back in the pan with the apples, and onions with it's juices. Sprinkle with the Thyme.
Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer. Cover and simmer about 15-20 minutes until apples are cooked and chicken is cooked.
Remove chicken from pan of apples. Stir sour cream and corn starch together in a bowl, and add to apple mixture. cook on medium.Stir until thickened. Remove from heat.
Place your chicken on a plate. pour apple sauce mixture on chicken, sprinkle with black pepper, and sprinkle with crumbled bacon. serve!!
