Ingredients

6 Tbsp
unsalted butter
1/2 c
sugar
1/2 c
brown sugar
2-3 very ripe bananas
3
eggs
3/4 c
buttermilk
1 tsp
vanilla
2 c
all purpose flour
1 tsp
baking powder
1 tsp
baking soda
1/2 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
cinnamon
1/2 tsp
nutmeg
1/4 tsp
ground ginger
3/4 c
walnuts or pecans

Step-By-Step

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2With a electric mixer beat together sugar and butter until creamy.

3Add bananas until combined about 30 seconds.

4Add slightly beaten eggs, vanilla, and buttermilk and mix until combined about 30 seconds.

5In a large bowl stir together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger sift ingredients together and add to wet ingredients mix until combined

6Stir in nuts by hand and pour into well greased 9 by 5 bread pan or 4 mini loaf pan's.

7For 9 by 5 loaf pan bake 55 to 60 minutes. For 4 mini loaf pan's bake 40 to 45 minutes.

8The loaves should be dark golden brown and dry to the touch. A toothpick should come out clean when inserted into the center.
