Ingredients

1 1/2 c
sugar
1/2 c
crisco
1/2 tsp
salt
2
eggs
1 tsp
vanilla
3 c
flour
1/2 tsp
baking soda
1/2 c
warm water
4
large bananas
1 c
crushed nuts if desired

Step-By-Step

1Cream sugar, salt and Crisco in medium mixing bowl. Add eggs and beat well. Dissolve baking soda in the warm water and add to mixture. Add vanilla.
2Mash bananas in skins and chop nuts. Add to mixture, beating lightly. Slowly add flour and beat thoroughly.
3Bake in loaf pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done. Mini loaf pans will be done in less than 1 hour.
