Another pecan delight that is just good. Nothing fancy, my aunt Betty made this when I was growing up we had this at her house. Just something that she made up. Very good, and easy to make!

Ingredients For betty's burndt pecan candy

  • 1 c
    pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 2 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2 c
    whole sweet milk
  • 1/2 tsp
    pure vanilla extract

How To Make betty's burndt pecan candy

  • 1
    on top of stove in a heavy duty medium sized saucepan, bring the following to a gentle boil.

    sugar, cinnamon, milk, bring to a boil over a medium heat. Stirring constantly. Cook until the mixture starts to thicken and leaves the side of the pan. Approximately 2-3 minutes after it has reached boiling.

    Remove mixture from stove and let it cool for 10 minutes then add the pecan. Gently fold in the pecans. After mixture is set, drop by rounded teaspoons onto wax paper or aluminum, foil or (parchment paper) on a cookie sheet Let stand until set. It makes about 36 pieces or couple pounds of candy.
