Ingredients For winter's cabbage soup

  • 3 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1/2
    onion chopped
  • 2 clove
    garlic chopped
  • 2 qt
    water
  • 4 tsp
    chicken boullion
  • 1 tsp
    salt, or to taste
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper, or to taste
  • 1/2
    head of cabbage, cored and coarsely chopped
  • 14 1/2 oz
    italian style stewed tomatoes, drained and diced

How To Make winter's cabbage soup

    In a large stock pot, heat olive oil and stir in onion, cook until transparent, throwing in the garlic at the end.

    Stir in water, bouillon, salt, and pepper bring to a boil then stir in cabbage simmer until cabbage wilts about 10 minutes

    Stir in tomatoes, return to a boil then simmer 15 to 30 minutes stirring often.
