olive oil
onion chopped
2 clove
garlic chopped
2 qt
4 tsp
chicken boullion
1 tsp
salt, or to taste
1/2 tsp
black pepper, or to taste
head of cabbage, cored and coarsely chopped
14 1/2 oz
italian style stewed tomatoes, drained and diced

How to Make Winter's Cabbage Soup


  • 1In a large stock pot, heat olive oil and stir in onion, cook until transparent, throwing in the garlic at the end.
  • 2Stir in water, bouillon, salt, and pepper bring to a boil then stir in cabbage simmer until cabbage wilts about 10 minutes
  • 3Stir in tomatoes, return to a boil then simmer 15 to 30 minutes stirring often.
