Sometimes I add a bit of thyme, garlic and minced onion....even have added a tablespoon of red wine vinegar..........purred carrots...... This is great as is or as a starter!

Ingredients
- 3 cups water
- 2 cups diced tomatoes, may use canned...undrained.
- 2 cups tomatoe sauce, canned(or 15 can)
- 2 tablespoons minced dried onion
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil or 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons beef bouillon
- 1 tablespoon sugar
How To Make tomato soup

Step 11 In large saucepan, combine water, undrained tomatoes, tomato sauce, dried onion, dried basil (if using), and beef bouillon .

Step 2Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, covered, for 20 minutes.

Step 3Stir in sugar and fresh basil. Serve hot.

Step 4Garnish with a bit of sour cream or grated cheese or basil.
