Ingredients

  • 4 ounces dried lentils
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 1 1/2 cups celery
  • 1 cup bell pepper
  • 1 cup diced carrots
  • 3 quarts water
  • 1 quart vege broth
  • 3 cloves garlic, crush and chop
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon smokey paprika
  • 2 teaspoons red chili pepper
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 cups fresh spinach

How To Make spicy lentils

  • Step 1
    In a large pan, heat 1/4 cup Olive Oil to medium heat. Chop all veges, add onion, celery, carrots, bell pepper to sauce pan. Cover, cook until onions are translucent.
  • Step 2
    Stir every few minutes. Once Onions are tender, add 3 Quarts of water, Soy sauce, Lentils and Spices. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to Simmer,cover and cook on low for 2 hours.
  • Step 3
    Add Fresh Spinach just before serving. Enjoy!
