  • 16 - rounds toasted french bread
  • 11/2 cups parmigiano-reggiano, grated
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, extra virgin

How To Make soupe a l'oignon gratine'e( onion soup topping)

  • Step 1
    preheat oven to 325 degrees.Bring the soup to a boil, pour the soup into a large casserole dish. stir in the grated parmesan cheese an grated onion. float the rounds of toasted bread on top the soup an spread the swiss slices over it. Sprinkle with olive oil. bake for 20 min in the oven then set for a min under the broiler to brown the top. serve soup immediatly
