Ingredients
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- 1-1/2 cup chopped onion
- 6 medium tomatoes, quartered
- 1 to 2 - lemons, juiced
- 2 pounds pork loin, cut into serving pieces
- 6 cups water
- 3 - yams, peeled and quartered
- 1 pound spinach or any green leafy vegetable
- 3 - fresh, whole italian hot green peppers
- 1 tablespoon patis or salt to taste (patis is fish sauce)
How To Make sinigang na baboy - pork soup with lemon

Step 1Saute garlic in oil until brown.

Step 2Add onion, tomatoes and lemon juice.

Step 3Add pork and cook till brown.

Step 4Add water. Bring to a boil and simmer until pork is tender. When tender, add the yams and simmer until fork-tender.

Step 5Add the green vegetable, hot peppers, and salt or patis to taste. Cook for another 5 to 7 minutes. Serve hot.
