We like a thick potato soup. Tastes delicious with the additon of the ham and corn. Great for a cold winter day or anytime you are wanting soup.

Ingredients For potato chowder (jean's)

  • 2 c
    water
  • 1 tsp
    better than bouillon (roasted chicken base)
  • 2 md
    potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 c
    onion, diced
  • 1 c
    ham, diced
  • 3/4 c
    frozen corn
  • 1 1/4 c
    milk, divided
  • 1/4 c
    flour

    Prepare your Ingredients

    Boil 2 cups water, in saucepan. Then add bouillon and simmer for a few minutes.

    Add diced potatoes and diced onions. Let simmer for about ten minutes until potatoes are tender.

    Now add the corn and ham. Let cook for about 5 minutes.

    Put flour and 1/4 cup milk in small bowl and combine. Add this to the ingredients in the pan.

    Stir in the rest of the milk and let thicken for about 5 minutes.
