Ingredients

  • 1 pound mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 - carrots, peeled and shredded
  • 1 - tomato sliced or canned and diced
  • 2 - celery stalks , chopped
  • 1/2 cup barley, uncooked
  • 2 cups water
  • 3 cups canned chicken broth

How To Make mushroom barley soup

  • Step 1
    Combine all ingredients in a large pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer the soup for 1 hour.
  • Step 2
    Wonderful with buttered hard rolls.
