Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1 cup thinly sliced carrots
  • 2-1/2 cup diced potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons chicken flavored granules
  • 2 cans undrained whole kernel corn
  • 16 slices cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 3 cups milk
  • 3 cups (one pound) velveeta cheese

How To Make harvest chowder

  • Step 1
    Using a dutch oven, combine the first 3 ingredients, cover with water, bring to a boil, then simmer for 15 minutes. Drain all the water reserving one cup. Add the one cup of water back into the pan with the vegetables.
  • Step 2
    Add the chicken flavored granules, the 2 cans of undrained whole kernel corn and the crumbled cooked bacon. Simmer 10 minutes more.
  • Step 3
    Melt the butter in a large pan and add the flour. Cook for about one minute and add the milk and the velveeta cheese. Cook until smooth and thick.
  • Step 4
    Combine all together and simmer over low heat until ready to serve.
