I had some keibasa as a Christmas gift from Omaha steaks so I made this recipe. It turned out very creamy, not brothy.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen vegetables
  • 32 ounces organic chicken broth
  • 1 package french onion soup mix
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes 28 oz.
  • 2 teaspoons salt, kosher type
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 2 tablespoons greek oregano
  • 1/2 pound kielbasa links, sliced thin in chunks
  • 1 1/3 cups arborio rice

How To Make diana's sausage vegetable soup

  • Step 1
    Defrost vegetables in microwave.
  • Step 2
    Place all ingredients into a slow cooker.
  • Step 3
    Cook on high for 2 hrs. Turn down heat to low and cook for another 6 hrs. Add a cup of water into pot one hour before serving if you don't like a thicker soup.
