1 largebag of baby spinach chopped
6 largevery large tomatos cubed large
2 can(s)16oz diced tomatos (with garlic)
3 can(s)tomato paste
2 can(s)16oz tomato sauce
2 Tbspminced garlic
2 Tbspminced onion
1/2 tsporegano dried
1/2 tspeach of black pepper,sea salt,onion power,garlic powder and ground basil
6 -8 cwater
How to Make chunky tomato and spinach soup
- in a large soup pot mix all the above ingredients,starting with the tomatoes, then sauce and paste and water, end with the spinach.
- mix well till the tomato paste is dissolved. and the stock is smooth.
- let simmer for at least a hour and 30mins. serve or can. if you are canning this will fill 6 1 quart jars. place in a boil bath for 30 mins keeping water above lids at all times. set aside and test caps once cooled. lids should have no play.
