Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons vegtable oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped fine
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- 6 1/2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 1/4 cups sharp cheddar cheese
How To Make broccoli and cheese soup

Step 1in a lrg pot, heat the oil over med-high heat. add the onions and cook, stirring, until soft, 4 min or so. stir in the flour, garlic powder, and salt and cook for about 2 min.

Step 2whisk slowly in the chicken broth and simmer the liquid until it thickens lightly. Add the broccoli and cook until tender about 10 min.

Step 3Remove the soup from the heat and puree using a blender. whisk in the milk, 1 cup of the chedder cheese. serve sprinkled with cheddar cheese
