A very hearty soup for chilly days. Can also be put in a crock pot. I adjust it as I think it needs every time I stir it so I tend to do stove top. I also use a chicken stock to intensify the chicken/turkey flavor.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds diced cooked turkey or chicken
- 6 cups chicken broth, low salt
- 2 cups chunked carrots
- 1 1/2 cups coarse chopped onion
- 1 1/2 cups coarse chopped celery
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 2 - bay leaves, dried
- 28 ounces diced tomatoes
- 1 cup pearled barley
How To Make turkey barley soup

Step 1Put all ingredients except barley into a large stock pot and bring to a boil. Add barley and simmer until vegetables are tender.

Step 2If the soup seems too thin I add more barley until it's where I want it.
