Southwest Turkey Soup (lowfat)

I have been doing weight watchers for about a month this soup is delicious and very low in points. My whole family loves this soup!! It doesn't have to be low fat, you can top with shredded mexican cheese and crushed corn chips!!! Enjoy ;)

Ingredients

  •   1 pkg
    ground turkey
  •   1
    large carton chicken broth
  •   1 can(s)
    drained garbonzo beans or any bean of your choice
  •   1 can(s)
    small drained whole kernel corn
  •   1 1/2 c
    medium salsa
  •   1 can(s)
    small can chopped green chilis
  •   1 Tbsp
    curry powder
  •   1 Tbsp
    chili powder
  •   1/2 tsp
    ground cumin

How To Make

  • 1
    brown the ground turkey in 1 tbsp olive oil, drain excess fat
  • 2
    add all of the above ingredients and simmer covered for 1/2 hour on low. Serve with white or brown rice you can also garnish with a tablespoon sour cream.
