The family was out to eat, we had this kind of soup - I knew I could make a recipe.

  • 1 lb
    any kind of sausage (your preferrence) cooked
  • 1 pkg
    frozen or canned artichokes
  • 1/2 c
    chopped carrots
  • 1/2 c
    chopped celery
  • 1 1/2 c
    chopped onion
  • 1 can(s)
    cannelini beans (or your favorite)
  • 1 qt
    chicken broth (or your favorite)
  • 1 can(s)
    28 oz. crushed red tomatoes
  • 1/4 c
    fresh basil or 1 tablespoon dried
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp
    crushed red pepper or to taste
  • 28 oz
    water (use crushed tomato container)

How to Make JoJo's Sausage Artichoke soup


  1. In large stockpot brown sausage.
  2. Remove sausage add, carrots, celery and onions cook till soft.
  3. Add remaining ingredients bring to a boil then simmer for 30 minutes.
  4. OR you can add all ingredients into a crock pot for a later meal.
    Cook on Low 2 hours. (cooked ingredients)
    Cook on High 2 hours, (uncooked veggies)
